The Etobicoke realtor who actually shows up.
I'm Jonathan Lee — a RE/MAX Professionals sales representative focused on the 20 neighbourhoods that make up Etobicoke. My job is simple: help you understand this market well enough to make a decision you'll still be happy with five years from now.
Why Etobicoke?
I didn't pick Etobicoke randomly. I live here. I run through the Humber River trails most mornings, I shop the Queensway, I eat on Royal York Road, and I walk the Mimico waterfront on weekends. Over the years, I've knocked on doors in nearly every pocket west of the Humber, and I've learned something most realtors miss: Etobicoke is not one market. It's twenty.
The Kingsway trades nothing like Alderwood. Mimico condos follow different rules than Markland Wood detached homes. Rexdale-Kipling is on a different trajectory than Edenbridge-Humber Valley. If you're buying or selling here, you need someone who knows which pocket you're in, what's happening in it this month, and what the numbers actually mean for your specific decision.
My background
Before real estate, I studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto and spent years in supply chain and process engineering. I still approach listings the way an engineer approaches a problem: get the data, build the plan, and be honest about what I don't know yet.
I moved into real estate in late 2017 because I wanted to work closely with people — and because construction and housing had always been an interest I kept coming back to. Seven-plus years in, I've guided first-time buyers, downsizers, upsizers, and sellers through every kind of Etobicoke transaction you can think of.
How I work
- Consultation first. Before I ever talk strategy, I want to know what you're actually trying to accomplish. Sometimes that's a bigger yard, sometimes it's a shorter commute, sometimes it's just retiring with less stress. The plan follows the goal, not the other way around.
- Real numbers, monthly. I publish a monthly market report for every Etobicoke neighbourhood. You'll get actual data — not a "the market is hot!" generic blast — so you can make calls with your eyes open.
- Education over pressure. I don't chase signatures. If a decision isn't right for you this month, I'd rather you wait and come back than force a move you'll regret.
- All the way through close. Most realtors disappear after the offer is accepted. I stay in it — inspection, financing, closing, keys in hand — because that's where deals usually go sideways, and it's where having someone in your corner actually matters.
When I'm not working
Family time, cooking, woodworking, and running. Running is my favourite way to explore neighbourhoods — it's how I know which streets have the best front yards, where the sidewalks dead-end, and which coffee shops are open early. If you're a runner too, ask me about the best Etobicoke routes.
Want to meet?
Fifteen minutes, no pressure, no pitch. Just a conversation about what you're thinking.
